Socrates practice has looked after our teeth for years. This has encompassed both my husband and I (over 50) and our children, who are now married and use them for their family. Throughout the generations they not only have an excellent level of dental care but show great empathy and concern dealing with each family member in a most sensitive way.
Teeth are a great indication of age if not cared for, Socrates have a maintenance and restorative approach and will never, unless absolutely necessary, undertake any work that would impinge on the longevity and health of the natural teeth.

Dr Socrates put us at ease with his calm and relaxing manner, whilst explaining the treatment needed. Following our treatment, we continued as regular patients. After having my teeth looked after by an excellent dental surgeon for 22 years and moving house I started to look for an equally perfect replacement. I have found Nick Socrates’ Rycote Dental Practice through a Google search. The surgery’s website seemed to be more welcoming and reassuring that any others I’ve looked at.
During my initial appointment I had an extended examination plus a number of X-rays and at the end was presented with a detailed proposed treatment plan with prices. All the way through Nick explained the problems, showed me the X-rays, gave me my options and finally his recommendations. He unquestionably made a lot of effort to find the best and most economical solution for a tricky dental situation (I was contemplating dental implants).
The implants were inserted without any pain or discomfort. Also, after a traumatic and unsuccessful experience of having a root canal at his regular dentist, my husband turned to Nick for help and was offered a knowledgeable and professional solution that put an end to my husband’s continuous pain. Nick Socrates and his staff are all very friendly and accommodating. My husband and I can recommend the Nick Socrates’ Rycote House Dental Practice to anyone with no hesitation.
